North Wales

We had a lovely time in North Wales. It was really nice to see all my relatives and the weather was fantastic. We spent most of the time sitting in my grandparents garden. It is a beautiful part of the world, above is a picture of Barmouth pier. We spent a morning on the beach too which was great fun.

Ah! So sweet!

Happy Birthday!

My whole family is off to north Wales this weekend to celebrate my Grandfather's 85th birthday. It should be really nice so long as the weather stays as lovely as it has been over the last few days, they live right near the beach! Above is a picture of the cake that my sister and I made for our Grandfather, well it's the thought that counts innit!

Ladies What Lunch

My sister and I spent a lovely evening with our ex teacher Carole Bryan Jones and her family yesterday. She made us a delicious meal and we had champagne and everything! It was so good to see her and we had such a good laugh talking about old times. Scarily, we realised that we had known each other for almost a decade and her daughter Caitlin is almost the same age as I was when I first met Carole. I remember Caitlin when she was a little seven year old girl, showing me her dance moves in her living room and she's now a good 5 inches taller than me and in the middle of her GCSE's! Carole's son Nick is ten now, not the little two year old who clung to my leg and declared that he was my "Little lambkin". It made me feel really old! It was one of the nicest evenings I've had in a long time, they really are a lovely family. Incidentally Carole has had a couple of history books published, so if you want to know more about twentieth century America or the cold war then check them out.
